Hello,

we're successfully using the new AD provider (as of DNN 4.6, 4.6.2), and roles sync works properly when a user directly belongs to a synced role. However, if the user indirectly belongs to such group (for example GroupA is synced; in AD GroupA contains GroupB; my user belongs to GroupB), role for that user are not synchronized.

Is it planned to handle recursion in roles sync? Is there a roadmap to see this implemented, or can anybody suggest a different approach (apart direct role assignment)?

It is planned but I don't know when. The first priority is to get bugs out of the provider and then I'll look at enhancements.

thanks for answering: I will trace this issue, hoping to get it done soon. Eventually, could you share the new source code, so that I can try to find a temporary solution?

The source code is going thru the release process. On the menu above it's under Products->Development->Project Release Tracking (I believe that's visible to everyone).

Ah, that's what is in the tracking list.  I was wondering that, since the software was included with the core release...
