when i type the domain and username i get logged in.

now i get the password popup en when i give the username and password in. i get logged in.

i've changed the following things in IIS on the windowssignin.aspx file:
Anonymous login: disable
Basic verification: enable
verification for windows domainservers: enable
integrated windows verification: disable (when i set this enabled i cant go to the page like i've said earlier).

some option names can differ because i've translated the options myself from dutch to english. hopefully you'll understand.

now it works but i'm not logged in automaticaly, i always have to fill in the popup.

The only thing checked on all my installs is Intergrated Windows authentication. Everything else is unchecked. That's the part that passes the credentials from the user that's logged into the computer and passes it to the webserver. The way you have it setup now the user has to log onto the webserver to pass their credentials.

So, you think there's a problem with the iis?

Can you tell me how i can test it on another iis installation. i can't copy the whole directory to another machine. Cause the database files are always in use or can't be copied. Do i have to stop the database or something like that?

Or do you have another idea how i could solve my problem.

If you stop IIS and stop/restart SQL you should be able to copy the physical files and do a backup of your database but I'd just start from scratch on another machine for testing purposes. If it works fine on there then start looking at moving the not working install over to see if it works on there.

This is the short batch file I use to backup my DNN install:

IISRESET /STOP
robocopy C:\DNN C:\DNN_Backup /MIR /SEC /R:1 /W:10
IISRESET /START

That stops IIS, uses robocopy (free download from Microsoft) to create a mirror image of your install, and starts the IIS server again when it's done.

That should give you a good copy of your current install that you can put on another server and test.
