I have several dnn sites on which I use the login account module for logging and registering on the site (as opposed to those provided with the skins!).

On one of these portals when users try to register from the login module they get the following error message:

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /Home/tabid/36/ctl/Register/returnurl/ /Default.aspx

Can you please tell me why this happens? and, more importantly, can you please tell me how I can set the original settings back on? I need users to be able to register from the login module.

thanks

To get back to the default open the Portals table in the database and reset LoginTabID field to NULL and possibly the UserTabID.

What version of DNN are you seeing this one so that I can try to recreate the problem.  Is this a single portal install or are there multiple portal installs  using one database and the other portals are working as you've described above and only this one isn't?

I am experiencing this same issue on version 4.07. This is a single portal install with no other installations using the database. I checked the portals table and both LoginTabID and UserTabID are set to NULL. Any help would be appreciated.

I have several portals with different versions. The ones that are giving problems are running on the latest version (4.08). Said this, however, I don't think it is a version's problem. I have multiple portals on a db without problems and other multiple portals on other DB with problems.

The multiple portals on which I have the problems are running on 4.08. I have a replica of the db (and portals) with almost the same functionality, same skins and modules on a 4.05.03 dnn version without problems. The only difference I can think of is that both login and user account module have been placed on different pages over sometime and called with modules like xmod or livecontent.

Regarding the default settings both the fields in the portals tables are null.

Were you able to find a solution for this issue?
