Hi,

I upgraded my DNN portal from 4.5 to 4.8, it works fine except the logout.

When the logout link is clicked, it displays the following error

  An error has occurred.
Error: Account Logout is currently unavailable.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(IWebObjectFactory objectFactory, VirtualPath virtualPath, Type t, Object[] parameters) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(Type t, Object[] parameters) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace

What could be the problem? How to resolve this?

Is this a custom skin? There were some major changes with authentication/signin/signout when DNN 4.6 was released so I'm wondering if a custom skin isn't pointing to the wrong location (just taking a guess at this point). Is the site live on the internet where I could see it happen?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response.  I'm not using the default skin from dotnetnuke.  It is one of the purchased skin.  The portal is live on the internet.  You can visit the portal at http://intellitrain.onmyweb.tv

If you need the login info, please let me know how to provide it to you privately.

Thanks for looking into the issue.

A general question regarding this forum notification.  Is the notification working?  Even though checking the notification I dont receive any mails from the forum.  Why it is so?

A quick glance at the site doesn't show anything glaring that could be causing it. If you want to sent me the info to login my email is mhorton@telus.net

As far as notifications.....It's a bug in the forum. I only get notifications from forums (such as this one) that I've been subscribed to for a long time and even then it can be hit and miss on some posts. I remember seeing possible fixes but I'm not sure if it was for subscribing to posts or another problem. I also can't remember what the fix was.
