I have AD authentication working fine on my DNN install now, but how do I add network users to DNN roles?

If you've got synchronize checked in the settings and DNN Security Roles that match the AD Groups (pre-Windows 2000 name if different than the AD name) then it should automatic.

well, when i turned AD auth on, I was logged in as myself on the DNN portal, but I was no longer an admin/super user. If I wanted to make a user in AD (like myself) an admin in DNN, how would I make that happen. that doesn't happen automatically, does it?

Thanks!

Ahhh the administrator group is exempt from synchronization. If you want to make your user a super user then you have to do it manually in the database by changing the field to True in the Users table.

Thanks.

So is there a way to add a AD user account to a DNN role or set DNN permissions on an AD group?

...or must that be done manually in the data tables?

Thanks again!
