Why?

I create a group Ihecs_Prof on the portal which is existing in the Active Directory.

I log in with the login of a member of this group , Login / Logout . The user is in his group on the portal .

I create a group Ihecs_Direction on the portal which is also existing in the Active Directory.

I log in with the same user who is member of the secong group too but he does'nt appear on the last group .

I create a group Ihecs_student ...., I log in whith a student login and paswd: he doesn't synchronise with AD

I turn round and round .

What must I check and how ?

Henri.

Henri, I'm assuming you're using manual logins based on your last post.

There are a few things to check. First, are Ihecs_Prof, Ihecs_Direction, and Ihecs_Student all Security groups and not Distribution groups? Second, are the groups names you're using the Pre-Windows 2000 group names (if you right-click on a group in the Active Directory Users and Computers mmc and go to properties you can see it)? You have to use the pre-Windows 2000 group name if it's different.

Hello Mike,

I have checked and I say yes the groups are global security groups and are pre-windows 2000 group name. I think I did not have this problem with 4.8.0 version.

I will start my VM ware machine to check it now.

Henri.

Hello Mike,

If I try on a 4.8.0 version, it works fine. There are of course some differences, name of the portal  and name of the database ....I can compare but what is important to check I don't know. There are some domain controlers on our network but only one domain. I would try to upgrade to 4.8.4 but I take a snapshot just before.

Thank's a lot for your great job

Henri.

Hello

This is important of course But the AD authentification package 1.00.02 is working  with 4.8.0 and group synchronisation is good.

AD authentification  1.00.4 doesn' t  work  with version 4.8.4 and 4.8.3: security groups are not synchronised.

What can I do ?
