We've had to make a few changes to the AD provider and have moved the login form out of the tabbed DNN interface and made our changes. Everything works great, however when a user logs in, the register and login/off skin object and the Tabs shown don't reflect the fact the user has logged in. A page refresh shows the username and tabs the user is supposed to see.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I'm missing?

Ian, it almost sounds that even though the user is shown as logged in it's not until the page refresh that it actually registers the user as logged in. After the login are you calling any sort of RedirectURL(.....)?
