I'm not sure why you'd be getting the problem. There's not anything that you prepopulate or have default values set of is there?

Or is mail not setup on your portal (valid admin user email/host email)? I see SendMail in your error so that got me wondering.

Mike,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I ended up restoring the site back to 4.3.7. I then upgraded to 4.4.1 then 4.6.2.  This seemed to work. I'm not sure what is going on. Although I do have a problem loggin in after I upgrade to 4.6.2. I have to register as a new user. Then go into the db and give the new user superuser permissions. I can then add the active directory module. It seems to work fine after that. Any Idea why It won't let me login after the upgrade. The user ID and pass are correct.

When you were going through the upgrades did you remember to copy the MachineKeys from 4.3.7 to 4.4.1 and then 4.6.2?
