Here's my scenario.  I'm running DNN 4.8.4 and AD 1.0.3.  Everything is configured and working as intended, but I have a question about adding the DNN site to the "Local Intranet" zone.  When I go live I will have thousands of users who have fairly locked down PC's and are not too tech savvy so I'm hoping to avoid that step, but also not require them to enter the login/pwd.

The DNN install has a name like dnn.companyname.com/home, and there is by default a "Local Intranet" zone entry for "*.companyname.com", but DNN still prompts for the login/pwd until I explicitly add "dnn.companyname.com/home" to the zone.  Is there something I can change in IIS or the web.config that will allow the DNN site to be recognized as local intranet based on the existing wildcard entry "*.companyname.com"?

Thanks!

*.companyname.com should work. That's what we use here at work.

What browser are you using? Firefox doesn't pass the values nicely so it still asks but IE should work just fine.

In a worst case scenario you could use Group policy to add the URL to the Local Intranet Sites.

We're using IE as well, but I just realized that the wildcard entry is spelled slightly differently and I'm not even sure what it's used for.  Anyway, thanks for the quick response and sorry for not noticing that before I submitted the post!

Not a problem. I've run into that before when I asked a question and someone came back and said it worked for them only to then realize it was a typo type of thing that was screwing me up.
