Mike,

Thank you. It finally worked but I had to copy the dll for the FCKEditor from an already running DNN 4.8.4.

I am now getting another error when I click the Authentication service after logging in as admin. Below is the error:

This site is currently Unavailable

The Active Directory Provider requires the site to be running

under Full Trust and/or in Classic mode in IIS 7.0

Commenting out the line:

<add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory" />

in your web.config will allow you to get the site running until it meets the above requirements.

I have done commented the above line in the web.config file.

That was the second line in the <httpModules> section that you commented out correct?

Mike. is the AD provider calling the editor provider somewhere?.... or maybe the installer?

If the problem is the editor, then the editor must be loaded somewhere when installing the AD provider. Otherwise, it could be similar clas names somewhere

Hey Mauricio

It's the core Package installer wizard that's calling the FCKEditorAPI when installing a package. There's a bug report in Gemini about it (that I see you've commented on). Charles posted that he thought it was a clash between the .js files for the new 2.0.01 version of the FCKEditor included with DNN 4.9 and cached files from the 1.00.09 version. I'll try the .02 version from the tracker tonight at home but it won't be until very late this evening.

After a deeper look, I found that the DNNRichEditcontrol that is being used in the install wizard and the profile system is being used there in a View only mode. The real solution is to use a normal LABEL control to show the content (The editor is designed to always work in a design view. Instead, the control is loading the provider but never renders it so some javascript is loaded and trying to reference an inexistant object.

I now added a validation in the javascript when no real instance was added to a page. This will be uploaded to the tracker today. This will need some future work in the wizard too (The control being used in the wizard).
