I updated a dnn installation from 4.05 to last vesion 04.09.00 (we were using active directory in version 4.05) .

After updated I tried to install the active directory provider from the Host Settings tab, ->Install New Authentication System -> in the text box Install New Authentication System Package, the problem is that the portal does not upload the module niether install it. Nothing happens and the page is freeze.

Then, also I copied al the files and modified the web.config, but I cannot install.

Can you help me please.

It freezes right after the first screen and displays a javascript error correct? The problem is with the FCKEditor. See this post for a work-around.

Would you please guide me to the solution?

Copying the DotNetNuke.FckHtmlEditorProvider.dll from the 4.8.4 version of DNN into your bin directory didn't work? I've done that with numerous installs and it worked perfectly. You do have to copy the original back in once the provider is installed however.

I'm having this problem with a clean install of 4.9.0, and I don't know where to get an old copy of the fck dll.  This is my first DNN install, and it's hanging on the new authentication provider install.  Can you help me find the 4.8.4 dll?
