I have a fresh install of DNN 5.0 web site. I try to configure my dotnetnuke website to use AD for authenication. Here are the instructions I read.

1.    Log into DNN as Host
2.    Go to Admin > Authentication
3.    Check "Windows Authentication".
........

The problem of DNN 5.0 is I can't find Authentication under Admin after I login with Host username. Do DNN 5.0 take away "Authenication"? How can I configure to AD? Thank you for the help

Jenny

Hi Jenny

Out of the box there's an error with the AD provider that's supplied with the current RC's of DNN 5. I've fixed the error and it's currently in the DNN Release Tracker (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/ProjectReleaseTracking/tabid/997/Default.aspx).

However, I will have to update the instructions for DNN 5 but in short.

-Log into DNN as Host.
-Go to Host->Extensions.
-Click on the Pencil beside the Active Directory Provider (I don't have an install handy so I can't give you the exact wording).
-Do you settings in that screen.

Correction for my post above. You have to go to Admin->Extensions.
