I have configured AD authentication and it works fine.

But after some time it just log-out users automatically. Next day, it works again OK till afternoon and then users are not authenticated automatically. Is there any restriction to number of users, because I guess that by mid-day the number of users authentication increases.

Although it log-out, If I go and try to login through Windows Login, I can login again and it works.

If I understand your post correctly it's part of Windows Authentication (when you set the permissions on WindowsSignin.aspx). Every so often (the time is random but my observation is 30 to 45 minutes) it will re-authenticate you. It sounds like it's not doing the re-authentication in your case. Can you give me your server OS, DNN version, and AD provider version?

DNN: 04.08.04
AD: 01.00.04
OS: Windows Server 2003 R2

Okay this one is going to be hard to try to recreate I think as I'm running our production site on the same setup (except it's DNN 4.9.1). I'll see what I can do on my dev server.

Thanks Mike,

Just one more information on situtation. In the morning for example, I see that 190 user have accessed the site, and only 12 of them are authenticated through AD.

I noticed that it tries quite a long time to authenticate to AD, it tries to execute "DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory/WindowsSignin.aspx", but it takes minutes.

And in the evening, when users go home, It works fast and good, when there is few users.
