Don't think you guys haven't tested this yet but; I've tested the new provider on 4.9.3 (clean install) with no problems at all! Great work! When I run more tests or encounter problems I'll post here.

When do you expect the provider to be released?

After installing DNN 4.8.3 and 5.1 in a test environment, and testing the ad providers (forgetting there was no AD available in the test environment). I encountered the following error. This is probably due to no AD being available. It would be nicer if the module would show a more understandable errormsg.

Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.AddADSIPath(String Path, Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.Utilities.GetRootEntry(Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.ADSIProvider.GetNetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.Settings.UpdateSettings() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I'm also getting those exact errors with DotNetNuke 4.9.4 and AD Provider 01.00.06.

The server that runs the website is not "bound" to AD, but is on the network where our AD lives.  What do I need to do?  Do I need to bind the server to AD, or have it "join" the AD domain?  If I do, is that likely to cause problems with other things like IIS or SQL server?
