Hello,

I am new to DNN so please bear with me.  We are in the process of implementing a DNN intranet site (DDN version 04.09.02) and I am using the AD provider and I can get most of it too work.  It will do the auto-login using Windows Authentication correctly; it will synchronize the groups and correctly populate what is in AD to DNN.  The issue that I am having is when clicking the logout button I can't log back in using AD credentials.  I have tried this using DOMAIN\Username and just Username and neither will log in.  When I check the event viewer I see that the initial login is using Windows Authentication: True but the attempts to log back in after logout does not appear to use Windows Authentication.  I do have DDN authentication and AD authentication enabled, I saw in a previous post to change the order in the database and I have done this so now AD authentication shows up above the DNN authentication but the logins still fail.  If anyone has any ideas to allow the user to log back in with Windows Authentication I would be most grateful.

Thanks,

---Jeff

When you're trying to manually login are you selecting the Windows Login button? How long are your passwords? By default DNN sets the password to 7 characters (this can be changed in the web.config).

Windows Login button?  Maybe I'm using the wrong login module.  The one I've been using is the Account Login module that came with the DNN install.  I don't see anything for a windows login button.  The passwords are longer then 7 characters so I don't think that is the issue.  I'm guessing it might have something to do with this windows login button.  What module is this located in?

It's part of the standard Account Login module. In the settings for the AD provider....do you have Hide Login Control checked? If you do then uncheck it and you'll see what I mean.
