Problem solved!!

For some unknown reason I had commented out

<add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory" />

Uncommented and that fixed it right up.

Hi Mike,

I’m having a very similar issue, I am actually not moving to a different server what I am doing is moving the DNN site in IIS from the path default website/DotNetNuke to having default website be the DotNetNuke site.  However when I point to <website>desktopmodules/authenticationservices/activedirectory/windowssignin.aspx it doesn’t auto login like it use too.  Now it prompts for username and password.  Do you have any suggestions?  BTW the server is running IIS 6.0

Thanks,

---Jeff

 Jeff, how have you got the site in your trusted sites/intranet sites list? Is it http://<website> or http://<website>/DotNetNuke?

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure I'm clear on what you're asking by the trusted sites/intranet site list.  Are you talking about the settings on the browser?  I have tried adding it to the list of trusted sites in IE without success, however I didn't need to do this before the site was moved.  The site itself is http://<website>, it was moved from http://<website>/DotNetNuke.

That's exactly where I'm talking about. When you say you tried adding it without success do you mean it didn't make a difference or that you got an error?
