Using DNN 5.14 with AD provider 5.02

I have a domain test user that I deleted from the portal (HH\JSMITH) yesterday.  I then  logon to the network with that user account (no problem) and attempt to access the portal.  I first get an error - if I look at the event log in DNN it shows a page load error exception that  "the user account has been locked out".  I close IE and go back into the portal and instead of getting an error this time it brings me to the logon page.  I click on the "windows login" button and enter the user id and password and it just takes me back to the same login screen.

I tried reentering the user in DNN but I get the message that the user account already exists.  I looked at the dbo.dnn_users table and that user - HH\JSMITH shows up.  But it doesn't show up in the list of dnn users.  Why does it still show up in the file if it was deleted?

Any suggestions how I'm supposed to get this user to be able to autologin again like it used to??

thanks.

I know when DNN 5.1.0 was in beta that I ran into a similar problem and had to re-work the code to account for it. The problem at that time is that users were "soft" deleted meaning that a flag was set in the database to signify if the user was deleted or not. The previous code was acting similar to what you're seeing but was changed for the 05.0.2 release of the provider to fix that so you shouldn't be seeing that.

I just fired up an install of DNN 5.1.4 on my dev system and added the 05.0.2 AD provider to it. I was able to log in with my AD user, logout, login as host and delete the account, and then log back in as the AD user either manually or automatically. However I am getting some weirdness when looking at my SQL tables that I need to sort out (the IsDeleted flag isn't updating in the Users table like I think it should be). I'll have to investigate further to see if I can sort it out but I won't have time until Sunday or possibly Sunday as the next two evenings are booked up.

In the meantime, check the Users table in your database and see if the IsDeleted flag for your user is set to True. If it is try changing it to False.

I checked the IsDeleted flag in the Users table and it was set to False. What I did find, however, was the IsLockedFlag was set to TRUE for the user in dbo.aspnet_membership table.  I set that to False and was able to log in again.
