Internal Intranet, upgrading on weekend to not disrupt business use.  Runnning 5.2.3 now with AD 5.0.1

Cannot log in using windows login. 

  • Auto-auth doesn't work - the home page displays but not logged in.
  • Using login button and trying Windows login (domain\name and network password) results in 'bad data' error. 

I can log in fine using a DNN account.  I've spent quite a bit of time looking through the forums and google in general with no luck.  I'm quite desperate to get the site active before the end of the weekend rather than roll back.

I'll watch my e-mail; any help at all would be very much appreciated.  I'm definitely open to contact from a professional that can help me this weekend on a chargable basis.

I know it sounds silly but can you double check that you're using 5.0.1 and not 5.0.2 of the AD provider? If you definitely are then I'd install the 5.0.2 version. If I remember correctly either DNN 5.1.0 or 5.2.0 broke the 5.0.1 version of the provider.

Mike, many thanks for the Sunday reply!

It was inded 5.0.1 =-/  I'm not sure how I missed getting the 5.0.2 when I downloaded it Friday night.

In any case, with my Brisbane office coming online today I had to roll back for now.  I'll schedule to try again one evening this week (with Brisbane's agreement to have the intranet offline) and will see if that was - hopefully - the problem.

Arg!
