I have installed 3.2.2 on a Win2003 server.  All is OK except that I can't get active directory configured.  These are the steps that I have taken:

1.   In web.config I have uncommented the line <add name="Authentication... in <httpModules>

2.   I have set the correct security rights to WindowsSignin.aspx

When I login as Admin and open the Authentication settings, the following message is displayed:

"The default authentication provider specified in web.config is not configured properly. Authentication settings are disabled."

I currently have forms authentication set in web.config.  If I change to Windows authentication, I cannot login as Admin to set the Authentication settings.

This is now urgent, so ant help will be much appreciated.

Did you set up the information in Admin->Authentication yet?

No I can't establish the settings.   They are disabled.  It's a catch-22, I want to configure the settings for AD, but the system has disabled the settings.  Can anyone tell me what needs to be changed in web.config so that the settings are available to me.

Thanks

Is anyone supporting Active Directory?

Supporting it in which way?

There has been extremely limited support for the AD module ever since I started using it about a year ago.  While there appear to be valid reasons for these delays, they are frequent and long.

I think someone else needs to step up to the plate and resolve some of these major issues in the meantime.  It is an awesome module that can potentially have a huge impact on DNN, but right now it is just "potential", not reality.
