Ok so first I'll apologize because I know that this has been discussed previously in this forum but it looks like there may have been some updates to the AD provider since then so I'm trying to clarify what if anything I can to do to accomplish my goal here.

We have a website that has been running on DNN for about 5 years now and I have, albeit slowly, been successful in getting our organization to embrace our web presence as an essential part of our agency's  offerings.  A major portion of what we do involves the scheduling of various trainings and events which we have been maintaining on an invenmanager events calendar and have been allowing people to register for the events.  The success, however, has not been complete because our professional development people are still keeping a paper calendar and this has resulted in events that are in one place and not the other being scheduled at the same time in the same location!

The biggest complaint that I have heard is that they keep the paper book because it is quicker for the two or three people near the book's location to look at it instead of bringing up the website then logging in and then going to the calendar.  So what I want to do is to allow for auto login based on my internal user's active directory authentication.  Which I gather from reading is absolutely doable.  This should allow us to speed up the process of checking a room's availability.  However,  here is my issue and where my question lies.  We have been using this site for several years now and I have hundreds of registered users who registered with the website and currently use the forms authentication.  I need to allow these "public" users to login in as well as new users to register while letting my internal office staff to authenticate automatically based on their computer's authentication with my AD domain.  Can this be done?!?

It definitely can be done as I do it that way at the school I work for. Basically you set the range of IPs that you want to autologin to your internal network and they'll get logged in while everyone else will have to do it manually. If you haven't already taken a look at the User's manual give it a read-through and if you have any questions then fire away.
