is it possible to add AD users manually? I have the following problem:

I created a completely redesigned site for our intranet. Now there are certain (DNN) security roles (not AD roles!) with certain permissions. Before launching the new site I would like to assign these users (AD users) to the relevat groups, and I have to write some transfer scripts to certain tables to map the userIds from the old site to the new one. This is not really a big task as it is only a handful of users.

So is it possible to manually create users like "OURINTERNALDOMAIN\Username"?

What John said. The AD provider generates a random password for the database so as long as their password they enter when they go to login matches what's in the AD you're good.

John, there's no way to pull password information from the AD. You can supply a password and it'll say "Yup, that's good" or through Windows Authentication thru an intranet it just checks that the account is valid.
