I've been using the AD authentication module successfully for about a month now but on the eve of launching my new intranet I have a problem.  All users, including myself, are being challenged when hitting the windowssignin.aspx page and it won't accept legit credentials.

I do have a module that checks the users login.  If it's not present, I redirect them to windowssignin.aspx and that logins them in and returns them to the home page.  This has been in placed for about a week with success.  Not sure if this is causing the issue but I found the AD authentication sporadic at times and wouldn't log in the user so that's why I do the redirect to windowssignin.aspx.

Does anyone know how I can correct this or figure out what happened?

Thanks,

Mark

When you say they're being challenged do you mean you're getting an IIS popup for credentials? Have you tried entering domain\username on that or is that what you're doing and it's still failing?

Also, what server OS/DNN version/etc are you running?

Mike,

Thanks for the response.

I was offline for a while looking at this but the issue dissapeared. Later on in the evening I found out another website was down that runs on the same server and I assume it wasn't a DNN or authentication issue after all.

I'll keep an eye on it but I believe I'm fine now.

Thanks,
Mark
