It is my assumption that with the AD Authentication module setup correctly that users can login without registering or logging in. This works great, but what if a user gets deleted out of AD? currently the user is still in DNN as a user. If DNN syncs with AD then why can't it automatically remove users that aren't there anymore? Unless I missed a setting I would think if DNN is reading AD it should update those users and delete them if they no longer exist in AD. Is this a manual thing?

DotNetNuke doesn't sync with the AD. The only time it connects to the AD is when a user is trying to login (either automatically or manually) and checks their credentials against the AD. If they pass then it will sync groups in the OU with roles in DotNetNuke (if setup to). Other than that it never "talks" to the AD so it has no way of know if a user has been removed or not. If a user has been removed from the AD they won't be able to login because they won't be able to pass the credential check as the password that's stored in DotNetNuke is a random password and not their actual AD password.

Thanks Mike, so a manual remove of the user on the DNN side needs to be done. We like to keep things tighty, lol.
