Hi Mike,

you are right. i am talking about the solution that Mavric gave me. I tried that but no luck. I want to ask you if i dont want to use Active directory provider but i want Strict windows authentication is it possible? Let's remove active directory provider from picture. I want simple functionality. if user exist in database (username = their windows username) and they have access to some pages that i gave them as super adming they should be able to logged in without entering their Windows username and password like we have right now in our production portal(DNN version is 5.2.3). this is working without active directory provider and with windows authentication true and identity imporsonate true. please let me know if it is possible to achive. and tell me what i need to do to achive this thing. your help is required ASAP as it's delaying my production deployment with upgraded DNN.

Thanks for your supopport,

Heni

As far as I know it should work Henri but I haven't tested/tried it in years. What you're looking at doing is a .NET feature/process and not a DotNetNuke process.

Hi Mike,

I dont know but there is some problem with DNN 7.0.6. Whenever i am trying to go to "Users" menu to add new user or to make modification to exisiting user the page gets hang. IE becomes unresponsive. I have to open task manager and close iexplorer.exe and then open browse again and go to portal website.

Please let me know if there is any issue with this DNN version and if i can do something to fix this.

Regards,

Heni

Hi everyone,

I am glad to see that someone else is having the same problem with me. So far I haven't managed to find any proper answer or workaround on internet. Can anyone please help?

I have Windows Authentication, and the error message "You do not have access to view this page within the website. " is appearing all the time, even when users are visiting different pages in less than 20'.

There must be a way to solve this...
