Our client have an Intranet Website with mixed mode authentication. Recently we upgrade our site from ver06.02.09 to 07.04.02 and the Windows Authentication is not taking effect anymore. All the user will be redirect to the login page (for Form Authentication). We try to reset the IIS authentication follow by the reference(http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/setti...) we used before but cannot fix the issue. End up we restore the database and the website back to ver06.02.09 from the backup, then the Windows Authentication can work again.

After the incident, I try to upgrade from 06.02.09 to 07.04.02 in my mock environment for 4 rounds. Which the Windows Authentication is working fine for 2 rounds without doing any other actions. Every round, I will restore the DNN database and my website form my backup.

Is there any reason that will caused intermittent issue during DNN upgrade? Will retry upgrade without  any other actions sometime fix the issues? I may need some supporting clue to request for retry upgrade at my client site.
