Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum.  But I recently (earlier today) added the Forums custom module and saw it's integration settings with the Gallery custom module.  So I wanted to get the Gallery installed... But, in the Module Definitions Page, I click "Upload new Module" and after I browse the "Gallery_03.00.11_Install.zip" file and add it, I click "Upload New File" and instead of getting the screen that shows the installation progress, I get sent right back to the Module Definitions page and the Gallery doesn't appear to have been installed...

I had this same problem with the forums module a few days ago but I tried it again today and it worked the first time.  I have no idea what was different between the various attempts.. So far as I can tell, I've followed the procedure exactly the same way every time...

I also thought to check the logs and the only entries that are added are shutdown and startup entries...

What am I doing wrong here? Any ideas on how I can get this resolved?

Thanks for everything :)

-Chris

I have experienced this as well and it is not related to Gallery nor other modules. It's something in DNN that has not been acknowledged by the CT yet. I have noticed it only on off-premises sites. A workaround I have used is to add the module twice in the same upload.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?

I'm assuming that you mean Core Team when you say CT?  Yes I tried adding it twice before clicking Upload New File just before I posted the first time here.  I also just now tried adding it 3 and 4 times both and still the exact same result.  It just sends me back to the Module Definitions page with no trace that I even told it to add the new modules :(

Thanks for your time.  I'll keep playing with it. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to include them :)

Are you able to reproduce this with other modules?  Are you getting errors on the actual install, and if so, what are they saying?

Yes I can duplicate this problem with any module I try to install.. It seems to have only worked twice (once with the blog a few days ago and then once today with the forums).  All the other attempts before, after and in between those two successful installations had the same outcome... After I add the ..._Install.zip file list (one or more than one time) When I click the "Upload New File" link, it just sends me back to the Module Definitions page with no error and no mention of anything in the log files either except a Shutdown entry followed by a Startup entry (this happens at the time I try to install the module)...

This lack of any error or any notification is what's got me so confused.. I'm not sure what to do to work around this besides what I've already tried..

Any help would be much apprecaited here.. Sorry this is a wierd problem...
