I successfully added a watermark.jpg to an album. When the user displays the image the watermark overlays the image thus preventing a user from "capturing" that image for their own use.

However, the watermark does not show up in slideshows so if you right-click | Save picture as, or hover over the picture you can still copy the slideshow images without the watermark.

I would like to use this module to display artwork and if the watermark can be placed on all images it would prevent using copies of the original art.

Also, an option to overlay the thumbnails would be important for an art gallery.

Additionally, if the right-click and copy could be disabled when displaying photos that would further prevent copying.

Both these enhancement requests have been added to Gemini.  I am not sure when they will be actually worked on though.

Hello,

The current version of the gallery installed with DNN 4.3.4 doesn't put a watermark on slideshow images.  I have found the following Gemini entry:

GAL-2492 Enhancement Trivial 02. Admin Functions / Settings

Watermark - Slideshow a& Thumbnails

Unassigned Complete 2/3/2006

Does unassigned with complete mean it's been fixed or does that mean it will not be fixed.  This is definitely a newbie question resulting from my inexperience with the Gemini usage on the DNN forums.  To give you an example of why I ask, in my non-newbie experience with other bug tracking systems the Unassigned/Complete combo would trigger a red flag because somebody must have made the code change in order to be able to mark it as complete.

I've seen the code snippet on the forums that shows how the gallery is checking for the watermark but the slideshow is not thus implying a code change was needed.

So, regardless of what the real plan is, I am wondering the following:

Does Unassigned/Completed mean the code change was made (and the slideshow will now show a watermark) or does it mean the code change will not be made?

Thanks for any help.
