Hello Everybody,

I have a problem that the gallery won't show the thumbs of the pictures, it shows it on the localhost but not if you open the website from another computer. Does anyone know the solutions for this problem? (my website has a redirection to a server on port 8080) If you click on one of the "empty" thumbs it shows the picture normally

Tx,

Borrie

Hi Borrie,

can it be your first portal alias is localhost?  Also please post us version of the DNN and of the Gallery Module please.  Note Gallery Modules Version 3.x are not running on DNN 4.6.x and above.

Regards

Matthias

The 3.x version of the Gallery has an issue where it caches the URL to the image files based on the first request for those files. So if you first request the files from:  http://localhost/......  All future requests for that thumbnail will use that URL to access the file.

The solution is to only access your site by one name.  And if you ever run it from another URL to hit the "refresh" button (on the top left of the gallery module) to have it re-cache the URL's.  (note you need to be logged in as admin to see the button)

I am using 04.03.00 and am experiencing this same issue. If I hit refresh the images show but I have to hit refresh everytime I go to the page. Is this issue still outstanding or am I experiencing a different issue with the same side effect?

We have fixed the issue with using other port for the release version.  It should submitting soon to the release tracker.  Also the URL Control have fixed to get the right domain name.
