I get this error after trying to upload a video file to my site.

I've already changed the Max File size to be 150,000 KB.
And the file is only 114,000 KB.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated on why this error pops up
after i try to upload the video file.

You will need to examine the Url that is being requested when you try to upload your video.  Also you need to specify how you're trying to upload.  With more information someone might be able to offer a suggestion.

A 404 error means exactly what it says : the site couldn't find the file you requested.  The url will tell you which file it's looking for and not finding.

If you are attempting to use the only publicly released Gallery version 3.00.12 and a DNN version 4.x site, the 404 error is to be expected.
That version improperly builds its urls when the album path is empty as it is for the top level album. If you look closely at the Requested Url in the error message, look for a space in the url after "path/". A possible work around is to disable the use of friendly urls in Host --> Host Settings --> Advanced Settings --> Friendly URL Settings : Use Friendly URLs. Better advice is to not attempt to use this version in a DNN 4.x or 5.x site.

If the error occured while the video was uploading, you may have also received a timeout error. Check your Admin --> Event viewer to see if other error were logged at the same time. If this is the case, you will need to increase the values for maxRequestLength and executionTimeout set on the <httpRuntime > element of the site's web.config. The default values are 8192 KB and 110 seconds respectively.

A new version of the Gallery which corrects this issue and many others had been submitted to the DNN release tracker testing process but failed in several areas. The Gallery project team has already fixed several of the issues that were raised in testing and working on several other issues. We will make every effor to correct the issues and resubmit the module for further testing as soon as possible. At this time, we cannot estimate when the new version of the Gallery module will be available for public release.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm using DNN 4.9 at the moment and the Gallery Module is 4.3
I could use this module to upload files less than 25 MB video files,
but the size isn't enough as it shows only a few minutes.

Then I already increased the Max File Size to 150 MB, then this
erro occurs. Once I try to upload files greater than 25 MB, this 404
error shows up. Is it in the code or something?

I'm not sure how it checks it.
I've also modified the web.config file to already accept a big size,
I've even set it up to already maxRequestLength = 614 MB, but still
it doesn't help, and executionTimeout = 2400 seconds. But still
nothing.

Is there someway to override this checking function or is there a way
to set up the host or portal to accept 150 MB video files?

Thanks in advance!

Batusai, you shouldn't be running the beta of 4.3 on your production site. About your error:

  • Check the storage limit of your portal. The Max File size depends on both the portal's available storage and the application request length.
  • Do not change the executionTimeout, that's related to SQL execution.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?
