DNN version 4.9.4

Gallery 4.3.0

Hi All

I translated the all texts in SharedResources.resx and created a new resx file for the local. All texts in the main gallery page were indeed changed however screen tips in the medial viewer did not (zoom, flip, rotate etc.).  Can someone tell if there is another resx file where I need to change it or whether this is a deffect?

Thanks,

OrenG

That's very strange. All of the localizations for the Gallery viewer such as zoom, flip, etc. are contained in the module's App_LocalResources/SharedResources.resx file. I just checked the Gallery viewer on my local development machine and find that the tool tips are all being properly localized.

You may wish to enable the "ShowMissingKeys" feature in the AppSettings section of your site's web.config to confirm that all text values including the tooltips are being pulled from resource files. Those that are will display [L] to the left of the localized text. Those that are not localized will display without the [L] or show a missing key warning.

I am also didn't find any issues on the gallery licalization.  But I checked on DNN 4.9.4, and the Localization on DNN 5 is some different, I am not sure yet if there can be some issues.  Checkin on DNN 5.x with showingMissingKeys enabled should also not seem with any issues.  Perhaps it is happend with your cache, or any others.  Have you try to use the language editor from DNN to translate to your installed language ?

Thanks to both for your quick response (btw does someone have an idea why I don't get email notification although I checked the post for notifications?)

I tried showingMissingKeys, all screen tips got an [L] so I guess they are pooled from the rigtht place. I also checked with DNN Language editor, the translation is perferc. Is it posible that the problem is somehow because the pop up window does not correctly recognize the local?

fyi I have enabled both

-Enable Browser Language Detection For Current Portal?

- Enable Language Parameter in URLs for Current Portal?

Any other idea?

Thanks again,

OrenG

DotNetNuke still used the Forum version 4.4.3 and there is a known issue with notification.
