Hallo all,
After upgrading to version 4.0.4 i get the following errors on all gallery modules on all portals. I cannot open the config section because of the seccond error.

Can anyone bring light in the darkness?

I have had almost the same error (the second error message on DNN 5.6.5 with Gallery 4.0.4). Based on this error it's seems that Gallery module cannot find/create/update it's configuration subfolders and files (for example _metadata.resources). So try to set full permissions for IIS process on your photo's folder.

If you're using a UNC path (to another virtual drive) or some NTFS hardlinks or directory junctions it's also very important to remember that the link folder and it's target folder has different permission sources and should be set separately for both.

Also try to restart your site on every permission change, in other case it's seems that module did not sees that changes (dont know why).
