I've looked, but cannot find, a "settings" or "config" or "maintenance" mechanism that will allow me to specify which image in an album is the one I want displayed when viewing a gallery that contains multiple albums (at the top-most level).

It seems as though the first image you add to an album winds up being the "chosen one".  If you then delete that image from the album, even if the album contains lots of other images, you get a red-X displayed in the gallery's album choice view for that album.

Can someone point me to the switch I seek?

I've been searching for an answer to this issue as well so I thought I'd bump this thread. In the old TTTGallery there was a way to do this but I don't recall exactly what it was - something like placing an image in the folder with the filename _icon.jpg I think.

Does anyone recall the method for manually specifying an icon for a gallery folder?
