Hi,

I'm really at a stuck point, I'm running Gallery 03.01.12 on DNN 04.03.04.

I upload images using the Add File button and then the Upload button, it refreshes like it uploaded, but when I go back to the Gallery, it's missing.

I went deeper and say that the file doesn't exist in the folder on the server either. I have what I think are the right permissions set up. I've added ASP.NET and NETWORK SERVICES to the security for the site.

I'm at a loss at what could be wrong, any ideas?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Jake

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.  A number of other people have had similar problems as you described with the 3.0.12 beta version.  My suggestions for you would be to either:

1.  Manually copy the files up to your server (ftp or whatever) and then the gallery module will automatically include them.  Note:  I put a FAQ on my website that gives instructions on how the files are laid out on the server (www.Jegers.com)

2.  Download/install my patched version of the Gallery module (www.Jegers.com) and if you are still having problems after running it, we can work on figuring out what is wrong and get it fixed.

There was a change to the file uploads are handled in 4.3.x. and 3.3.x.  Some of the changes needed were made in the last release but then there was another change.  File uploads seem to work 99.99% of the time if you are batch uploading small (20 pictures or less in my experience) zip files.  James plan of ftping the files works well also.  Every now and then doing it that way will over flow the cache and you will not get all the files where they need to be but they will be listed as already existing.  If that happens just delete the ones that didn't actually make it, copy over a smaller number of files and run maintence (sp) again.
