i'm trying to add the gallery module to my site, but i'm not sure how to. I've tried installing it on the File Upload>Install Module screen. And i get this error "Invalid File Extension For Custom Module Gallery.dnn", since this isn't a module that is part of the core, do i have to upload any files? how would i go about adding this?

Thanks

I'm guessing that you downloaded the gallery.zip module and unziped it and then tried to upload it?

I think you tried to be to smart.  You need to upload the entire zip file not the individual files.

no.  don't unzip it.  Download the gallery3.0.12.zip file and upload that as is to your DNN site. (upload the gallery3.0.12.zip file)  It will automatically be unzipped and installed by DNN.

There are 2 ways to install module, but with both ways you just need to download the zip.  The easiest way to install a single module is:

-- Login as host
-- Go to the module definitions page
-- Click Install Module
-- Browse to where the zip file is and select the module you want to install.
-- Click Save File.

The program will unzip the file and do the rest of the install for you.
