I downloaded and installed the latest build of the Gallery module today (Gallery_3.0.12_Install.zip).  The installation and setup went very smoothly and it is working well.  However, I included a Flash file in the gallery and when I click on it, I get the following message:

Resource cannot be found:
Requested URL: /DotNetNuke/DesktopModules/Gallery/FlashPlayer.aspx

I searched the entire DotNetNuke installation directory for this file but cannot find it.  Was it maybe left out of the latest build?

Thanks.
Todd

Your observation is correct.  The flash module support was removed during a previous build of the gallery module as the thought was that it wasn't going to be supported anymore.  I'm not sure if in the next release it has been decided yet as to whether or not the flash functionality will be put back in or not.

Note:  If you really need this functionality, I have added it back it to my patched version of the code, located at www.jegers.com

James, thanks for the information.  I downloaded the file you suggested and I am still having a few problems.  Here is what I did:

I have DNN 4.4.0 installed on a Windows 2003 server running IIS6 and SQL 2000.

I tried just copying all of the 'flash*.*' files to the Gallery module directory, but when I click on the link, I get an error telling me to modify the web.config.  Can't remember the exact error, but if you need it I can get it.....

I then uninstalled the Gallery module that I had and attempted to install your version.  It gives a LOT of lines of information, then at the bottom there is an error :

Failure
ExceptionSystem.Exception: File load failed, aborting at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.ReadZipStream() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

Could this be caused by DNN 4.4.0?  Not sure.  I had to reset some of my file permissions to uninstall the previous Gallery version and I got that fixed, but I have no idea about the error above.  My programming experience is all in object Pascal!  :)

Thanks.

Todd

Were you trying to copy the flash* files from my version to the official beta version?  That won't work.  My version is written in .Net 2.0 and the released gallery version is in .Net 1.1

When you are going to install my version, you can't install it like the other modules (sorry I haven't written an install package for it).  You need to follow the directions in the install and manually copy the files to the appropriate directories (it's really easy. just move/rename two directories)
