When I put a link to a page on my site within the Blog when posting an entry, I always put the full URL so that people reading the blog outside of my site can follow the links.  Unfortunately, every time I try it, the blog is rewriting my link to be just the path.  Is there an easy fix to this?  People who click on the link from outside readers get page not found errors.

ie, if I want to link to "www.portofdreams.net/services/webdesign.aspx" the blog is rewriting the link to "/services/webdesign.aspx".

I use the FCK editor instead of FTB, but I'm sure it will work the same. I'm going to test it by linking to the projects forums home page from a link below. We'll see if it works.

In another browser, find the page you want to link to and copy it's URL,
Select the text you want to use as the link,
Click the Create Link button in the editor,
Paste the URL in and save

This text will link to the Forum with a full URL:    Forum

If you want the full URL visible on the page, I'll try that as well here:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsProjects/tabid/795/Default.aspx

With FCK on my site, this works. I'll save this and see what happens with FTB here.

Thos links above both appear to retain the full URL. This is of course the forum, not the blog, but the editor is the same. I have checked this on my DNN 311 version of the blog and it works the same as here.

Are you referring to something else maybe? Do you perhaps mean when people click on links in your blog's RSS feed?

How are you inserting the links into your blog? If you are using a dialogue that lets you browse your site for a page then you will get the problem you describe. The trick will be to treat the URL as if it were a link to an external site.
