Hi THere,

When ever a user submits a comment they are redirected to the top level page.  My users find this disorienting, so I have been making an edit in the source to simply return the user to the page they submitted the comment to - ViewEntry.ascx.  This requires I set up, edit and compile the source each time I do a version upgrade.

When I tried to install the 3.1.2 source version I get an error in my install script.  I have looked at the Blog_3.1.20_Source.zip and cannot find the "missing" files identified below.

Please advise.

THanks,
Wylie

Well, I figured this one out on my own.  I was trying to install the source like a PA.  Ooops!

FWIW - if anyone else wants to get rid of the disorientating comment redirect change line #319 of ViewEntry.aspx.vb from
Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(), True)
to
Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(Me.TabId, "", "EntryID=" & m_oEntry.EntryID.ToString()) & "#Comments", True)

I'd like to express my gratitude to the Blog team and Hans-Peter in particular for a really great module.

Thanks,
WYlie

Sure,

it is not possible to install the source version of a module like a PA.

Install the PA version and then unzip the source in the existing blog module sub folder, overwrite all files.

That works for all dnn modules

HP
