Hi,

Just wondering if there is an update on the new blog release status?  Also do you know if there will be a release status report available so the community can track the progress?

As far as I see, there has been critical issues found during testing on latest DNN 4.5.1. These needs to be fixed, before the module can be resubmittet to the issue tracker.

For details on the release process, please read here.

i just checked the tracker and Sebastian is correct, The report was

"FAILED: Variety of black box testing performed on both 3.3.7 (ASP.Net 1.1) and 4.5.1. Appeared to function fine on 337, but blog entries do not display on 451 (although entries are stored in the database)."

The issues look to be caused by the change to dotnetnuke using xhtml transitional, the blog team are working on the fixes at present.

Cathal,

That is not correct. That is not why it failed.

It failed because there is still a bug with DateTime issue when entering posts.
The TimeZone calculations still do not add up properly.

Basically, it sometimes happen that you create and entry but it does not appear on the list. This is because the time conversion, for some odd reason, is makeing the entry post as if it were posted in the future... thus it does not show.

I am at the airport waiting for a flight to UK and I am debugging this issue exactly and still no luck - it is driving me bunkers.

If you have any ideas on this let me know. Bytheway, when I use Date.UTCNow - if gives me my time less one hour - do you know why? Does this have anything to do with daylight savings time? If so, how do you deal with this?

Thanks.
