Hi again, I've found another problem with the new release.

  1. Install the latest release on DNN 4.5.3
  2. Create a new blog.
  3. Add an entry
  4. Click to add another entry, but just scroll down and click cancel.
  5. Result:

Error: Add blog entry is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: url ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: url at System.Web.HttpResponse.Redirect(String url, Boolean endResponse) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.EditEntry.cmdCancel_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I've confirmed this on two portals, one an upgrade over the old blog, the other a brand new 4.5.3 with no prior blog installed.

Hope that helps trace a bug.

Rob

Can someone else confirm or deny this issue so that I can figure out if it needs to go in Gemini? I've confirmed it on two completely different portals so I'm 99% sure it's something to report.

I've confirmed this on yet another fresh 4.5.3 installation. I'll go ahead and post to Gemini seeing as this thread is clearly dead.

Ok, this is the exact procedure that does it every time. It matters how you add the new entry:

  1. Install the latest Blog 03.03.00 on DNN 4.5.3
  2. Create a new blog.
  3. Add an entry
  4. Use the module action menu on the module titled "Blog_List" to "Add Blog Entry" and then just scroll down and click cancel without adding anything.

It's obviously not a showstopper, but if anyone does care, it's in Gemini here:
