I would like to see 2 new features in the blog.

1.  An admin setting that will allow me to select a DNN role to be notified by email when a new blog entry is added.
2. A user setting that would allow users to subscribe or unsubscribe from notification when new entries are added to a blog.
2A.  An admin option that would allow or override the subscribe/unsubscribe option if needed.

i would agree that #2 is a good idea....but I would shy away from #1.  I am personally not all that for a send e-mails to X users automatically, I think it would present a risk of allowing site moderators to send unsolicited e-mails...

i could live with the subscriber option.  I belong to several non-DNN blogs with this options, and if is highly useful.  can you tell me if you are planning to add this feature and if so, do you have a time-frame?

I am not sure I can give you a time frame. I can safely say, though, that it is considered as we develop the next generation of the Blog.
