Any plans on adding the abiliy for visitors to subscribe to a blog?

I love the way blogs.com does it.  Here's a buddy's blog, for example: http://jpowell.blogs.com/jason_powell_church_it/

For the future I have some plans to implement a blogger api, but this will surely not implemented in the next version.

Thanks for the quick reply, HP.

I had presumed that subscriptions would be built into the core functionality of the module, as this would be a commonly desired feature, not custom that would need to interface via API.

Yes, you are right and also I am right.

To implement a blogger api, does not (only) mean that you can interface different things via the api, it includes a list of additional features which will be implemented in the core module.

Things like.

  • Pings to blogger.com (and other blog services)
  • Email to Blog
  • Subscriber functionality
  • and so on...
