I added the Blod Module to a page. Created one blog and everything was fine. Created child blogs for that blog and everything was fine. When I created a second parent blog I get these two errors and the New_blog module does not display correctly so I can't delete a blog either.

Error, not sure in which module becasue I can't see the container of this error:

Unhandled error loading module.

Can you please describe a little bit more in detail:

Is it an DNN upgrade from a 3.X version, or a fresh dnn 4.X installation?

Which version of the blog module did you install on which version of dnn.?

Did you upgrade the blog module from newBlog or was it a clean install ?

regards

HP

It was a fresh DNN 4.00.2 install.. no upgrade.

First I tried uploading Blog 3.1.20_source to the install/modules directory, browsed to the install resources and it installed, but it did not show up in the Modules drop down list. Then I read on this forum that source files would not work under ASP.NET 2.0, and I saw the newer version of Blog (3.02.00_install) so I downloaded that and uploaded the file through Admin - Module definitions page and it said successfully installed.

I believe (I'm sure) the problem is that the first installation of the version 3.1.20 failed.

I suggest that you delete the module from module definition and install it a second time. that could help to remove orphaned entries from the first installation.

If this will not solve your problem, please let me know whether you have the possibility to have access to the database so that we can run some special sql scripts to find out what exactly the problem is.

Unfortunatly you where wrong. I did what you said and for a while it looked like it was working but I had problems getting to the stage of creating another blog (for same user). Which is where the problem occured last time. Eventually when clicking the Blog Settings link I got the "Create Blog" page rather than the "Edit Blog" page and I could create another Blog and this is when the problem reoccurs. So I wonder.. is it not ment to be possible to have more than 1 (parent) blog per user?... I'm just thinking that since the error says that "Subquery returned more than 1 value"

If this is the case, then there is a bug somewhere that send the user to the "Create new Blog" page rather than the "Edit" page when clicking "Blog Settings".
