I have searched high and low on how to setup my blog so that only posts that have been approved will be published as a lot of rubbish is being posted.

Currently it is setup so anonymous posts are allowed, so I guess the first question is.....is the above possible when anonymous is allowed?  If so, then can someone please assist on how to set this up.

Secondly, with anonymous setup, does that enable anyone to delete previous posts? Basically by clicking on the pencil next to each post anyone can delete a message.

Any help would be appreciated.

Richard,

You need to be using version 3.02.00.  Then in the blog settings for each blog you have you can enable or disable comments and trackbacks.  There is also an option to allow anonymous posts with or with out being approved.

Blog Options:
These options control your blogs features.

I can't figure out how to approve comments either.  Some guidance would be appreciated.  When I view the post, I see the comments, but the only options are to edit the comment or hit the "stop sign icon" to not allow it.

AFAIR you have to click the stop sign to release the comment - i think it's something that possibly makes more sense in Hans-Peter's native tongue than in English - i've logged this @ http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=3709 so that it can be changed to something more intuitive. Once you've clicked the stop sign, then you can use the pencil icon to edit/delete if necessary.
