Sure,

The blog page is: http://www.objectrolemodeling.com/WebLog/tabid/58/Default.aspx

and the RSS link is: http://www.objectrolemodeling.com/WebLog/tabid/58/rssid/1/Default.aspx.

Limit recent RSS entries is set to 10.

I should have mentioned, these posts came into the blog module via import from the old forum/blog module in DNN 3.1. I have yet to post a new entry since the upgrade (I plan to try that later today). Also, I am getting a bunch of errors related to searching (the can't insert null into column description error). I know the old blog module syndicated based on data from the search index, does this one?

Thanks Much,
Scot.

Scott,

now I understand what your problem is.

You are talking about two different rss views.

The setting you have done in the module option (Limit recent RSS entries to 10) is for the rss link of the control "most recent entries" which is not enabled in the module settings,

Please do the following, open the module settings from the context menu of the control "Most recent entries". Now enable in the page setting the "Allow Syndication" option.

regards

HP

OK, that worked. Thanks.

This may be a dumb question, but why is there a second RSS feed with a different URL and content (the module with the blog categories)? Won't that just be confusing to anyone who wants to subscribe to the updates?

The feed on the categories module is updated with new posts so I guess I'll just use that one. Plus, the feed on the most recent entries has a default title of "most recent entries". Just my two cents, but I would consider having one feed in a future release to avoid this confusion.

Thanks for your help and clearing that up!

Thanks Much,
Scot.

Not confusing flexible.  :)  It lets people subscribe to just what they want.  Say you have several users that all have blogs and each of those blogs has categories.  Not everybody is going to want to read every post for all the users which is what you get from the most recent module.  I've got a blog called general view. (not creative at all) blow that I've got Links, General Aviation and RC aviation.  If people are really interested in what I've got to say they can just subscribe to the most recent entries. If they only care about my general Aviation stuff they don't have to get all the other stuff I post.

Cheers,

Paul Davis
