this is a known issue with version 3.3, caused by a Microsoft asp.net patch. Please read the blog entry @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/B... for more details and the fix. This issue will be resolved in the 3.4 release of the blog module.

Hi Guys,

I have a similar error message as the above - an error has occured. Error: Edit entry is currently unavailable.

So... I have a new dotnetnuke site up and running - hosted by easyCGI. I used the scripted install... I believe this to be 4.5.0.   I installed various modules as I endeavour to get the look, feel, and function correct. At the moment no-one is using it in terms of users.

The base install of the Blog module initially worked.. no problems. I used the "create my blog" function succesfully... then was able to add new blogs. The wording and images showed up great.

I decided to move the blog page to a different location. It still showed up fine. For some functional reasons I 'decided' that I wanted a second blog area for a different group of users - so added a second 'instance' of the blog module. It showed up with the same content as the first install... which is not what I wanted.

Anyway, deleted first blog entry and went to make a new one. This is when the above error message turned up. Could it be some sort of user rights issue?

After deleting the module and re-installing it several times, on new pages I became frustrated. The Host account showed that the version of blog I was using was one version out of date. Just installed version 3.03.00.  Downloaded the Zip, and used the install new module option. The script that appeared was error free. Alas, the error message I get is the same.

I checked the event viewer and have this if it helps:-
