Hello Everyone and thanks for your help in advance.  I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum. I am developing a content management system to allow for the storage of articles within a SQL Server 2000 database.  I am using FreeTextBox as the editor for users to enter articles.  I am new to DotNetNuke and am trying to udnerstnad if this will work for what I am developing.  I have two questions.  First, many of the articles are quite lengthy and including HTML formatting go well beyond 8000 characters.  How should I go about storing these articles and how does DNN handle this?  Should I use a TEXT datatype, or perhaps split the data into more than one row.  This leads to my second quuestion.  Many sites that display article type data break the artilce into multiple pages with page numbers or next links to page back and forth.  I am not sure hot to go about implmeneting this and need to understand the code in either event..  Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I cannot answer specifically for the blog but I can tell you a bit about some others.

First off you would want to store the actual content of your article in a test field, the use of a varcahar or nvarchar field would not make practical sense.

Secondly regarding paging etc. you might have a look at the Ventrian News Articles module it implements paging if you desire to break up content.
