Hi,

I just installed version 3.04 and the fonts size in the blog viewer went from arond 10 to 4. Pretty much unreadable. What do I need to do fix this?

Thanks,

Greg R

Well, mine went the other way.   From smaller font to larger...but only on the front page that lists the blogs, not in the actual blog itself.

Here's the link to the list of blogs where the font size has increased.

http://www.helpmasterpro.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/153/Default.aspx

It must be something to do with the stylesheet settings!?

Best regards,

Rod

Folks,

you are getting this behavior because the new blog inherits the base font from the main skin, and then applies the EM (in css) sizing method.

It seems that this method, although a best practice, according to some css experts, is not working real well with the plethora of different DNN skins.

Meanwhile, you can simply change the stylesheet of the blog (DesktopModules\Blog\module.css). All you need to do is fix the font-sizes attributes from EM to fixed PX.
For example, instead of:

font-size: .7em;

Use

font-size: 11px; (or whatever you want it to be).

If this does not help, let me know.

Antonio, which section within the blog.css style sheet controls the text of the blog post itself and the comments?

I have been able to alter the other elements as you have suggested here, but I cannot seem to get the blog post text to change in point size from changing blog.css. I tried adding a font-size command to the .blog-body section, but that had no effect.

Otherwise the module looks great -- terrific work!

Antonio,

Thanks for the information, and nice use of the word "plethora" ;-)

I've got my blog looking a bit better, but there is still a few sections that I cannot seem to get under control.

Is there anyway to alter the formating of the blog author and the date that appears below the blog title.  I'm referring to the blog list page here, not the actual blog itself.  I want to format this information differently from the both the Title and the description of the blog, but I don't think there's a style sheet section for it.

The HTML for the blog page looks like this when I view the source.  I've highlighted the sections I'm referring to.

<div class="blog_body">
<!-- Begin Blog Entry Title -->
<div class="blog_head">
<h2 class="blog_title">
<a id="dnn_ctr835_MainView_ViewBlog_lstBlogView_ctl00_lnkEntry" href="http://www.helpmasterpro.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/153/EntryID/26/Default.aspx">How is the new website going?</a>

</div>

</p>

Hope this makes sense.
Best regards,
Rod
