Hi, when i set up the blog, i see it when i am logged in, but i can't get it to be seen by anybody else. I went public, gave permissions to all user and even unathenticated users and still noting there BUT the container alone but they are all empty.

Any help is appreciated

Hmm...  This problem sounds interesting.

First of all, make sure that your page has the "View Page" permission set for the "All Users" role.  Now, you would want to reset the permissions in each Blog Module, by checking the checkbox in the Module Settings for "Inherit View Permissions from Page", and then clicking update.

Let's start there.  Let us know where that leaves you...

Hmmmm... well put, that was exactly what i said. Thanks for our input by the way.

I tried checking all permissions again, and it sitll not working. It shows the container, but no blog. I am using DNN 4.3.3 with the newst blog version could that be causing a problem?

Here is the link i fyou want to see what I mean http://www.calvarychapelchandler.org/Ministries/MissionsOutreachMinistry/BrazilMissionsCheyanneParedes/CheyanneServingInBrazilBlogJournal/tabid/133/Default.aspx

Thanks for any help here.

I see what you mean with the content missing.  Ordinarily, this is when we ask if you are in "design mode", this isn't the case with you.  (I would suggest that you set your modules to not show the minimize/maximize icon though.)

I haven't yet used the newest version of the Blog Module, but in looking at the change log, there are many bugs that have been fixed with it.  However, I would suggest that you upgrade your DNN installation to at least version 4.04.01.  There are some modules that will no longer work with previous DNN versions.  I cannot confirm if that is the case with this version of the Blog Module though.

If you decide to upgrade, this link might help you at least a little bit.

I am having the same problem. I am using DNN version 04.03.04 and Blog module 03.04.00. I am using this version of the Blog module because my client does not want <br> tags in the comments. When I upload the module, I get the following error:

ExceptionSystem.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory. at System.Web.Util.UrlPath.ReduceVirtualPath(String path) at System.Web.Util.UrlPath.Reduce(String path) at System.Web.Util.UrlPath.Combine(String appPath, String basepath, String relative) at System.Web.VirtualPath.Combine(VirtualPath relativePath) at System.Web.HttpRequest.MapPath(VirtualPath virtualPath, VirtualPath baseVirtualDir, Boolean allowCrossAppMapping) at System.Web.HttpServerUtility.MapPath(String path) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstaller_V3.DeleteFiles(String FolderName, String Version) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstaller_V3.UpgradeModule(DesktopModuleInfo ModuleInfo) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.RegisterModules(PaFolder Folder, ArrayList Modules, ArrayList Controls) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

The module still works perfectly on my development site, even with the error. When I try to use it on my actual site, the blog details are visible when logged in, but only shows the module titles when not logged in. I do not have the option to upgrade my site. Is there any other way to fix this?
