Total newbie to blogs and DNN's blogs. Seems when I first installed the blog module my Blog List showed Recent Entries. Now all it shows is "There are now categories in this blog."

My client just wants a simple ongoing list of entries, not categories. Any way to list those recent entries from the one, master blog?

First of all, welcome to blogging.  It's a lot of fun and a great idea for your clients.  People are starting to expect that there will be some kind of blog channel on an organization's website. 

Unfortunately, the DNN Blog module doesn't provide this functionality; however, you can achieve this with the Ventrian News Articles module.  The price of a one year subscription at Ventrian is easily worth the features of just the News Articles module.

If you decide to go with the DNN blog or the Ventrian News Articles module for your blog, then you may want to check out using Windows Live Writer to post entries to your blog.  It's much easier this way and I've created a couple of videos you can access here which show how to configure and use metaPost Community Edition, a free module we've created to allow you to take advantage of the Windows Live Writer features from within DotNetNuke.
