I have transfered a portal to another host and now, for some reason when I click either "Comments" or "Read More" nothing happens and the following comes up in the Event Log. What are the parameter count and parameter values referred to here?

Hi JHB,

How did you perform the transfer?  Is the URL accessible?  At first glance, it appears that the wrong number of parameters is being passed to one of the blogs stored procedures.  Knowing more about what happened during the transfer may shed some light on why you're getting this error.

TIA,

Don

Hmmm, it was restored using Evotiva's BackupScript. I also copied the blog tables from the previous db which I have access to also. Yes, the URL is accessible. It's just that when we click "comments" or "More" it throws the error.

Hi JHB,

It seems that something happened to your blog stored procedures along the way.  Do you still have access to the old server?  If so, can you check to see what the {objectQualifier}Blog_GetEntry stored procedure looks like in both environments.  My guess is that the signature is different in the new environment.

Thanks,

Don

I do have access, and that was easy to fix. Do you suppose I installed the wrong version on the new server and restored the data from the other one, thus leaving two versions of the sp? The one that wasn't working was selecting on EntryID and PortalID (2 Params) where the other was only EntryID. Just wondering if there might be other problems here that I don't yet know about. The version is 3.3. Would upgrading to 3.4 fix it? I suppose I could reinstall and then copy just those tables again. Trying to get this all together so we can pass it on to the new owner in a functional state.
